Christchurch Botanical Gardens
To truly experience Christchurch, is to Picnic in the famous Botanical Gardens
Set The Scene
The Picnic spots are endless with options in the expansive beautiful Botanical Gardens.
Lay in a wide open space of greenery and blue skies, settle by the river while feeding the birds or pretend you're in Rome under the Roman pillars.
Hide away amongst the fragrant Rose gardens, or run through the Daffodil fields in the sunshine.
Hire a canoe or row boat and go down the river together.
Lie down with a book and read to each other.
Listen to music and doze off in the sun.
If it starts to rain, run into the Christchurch Museum or Botanical Visitors Centre to escape the downpour....unless you like dancing in the rain!
